The Great White North
From November 15th to 26th, I travelled north with the Canadian team to kick off the winter season for our first training camp. We trained at Mt. Sima in Whitehorse, Yukon. It was exciting for me to be training in a part of our home country that I had never visited before. With the great snow and beautiful views, it did not disappoint. We had a total of 9 days of on-snow training; all with temperatures below -25˚C. The cold temperatures gave us great snow conditions for long days on the hill. Throughout the camp, I made progress and improvements that I am looking forward to bringing into the competition season. After a few days back home to warm-up and recharge, I am feeling well prepared and ready to head over to Europe for the start of the World Cup season. IT’S GO TIME!
